Episode: 017 iTunes Stitcher Download: Link. Artist: QotSA. Album: Songs for the Deaf. Show notes: This was a Christmas present in 2002 from my friend Alan, who did the correct thing; he asked me what album I wanted for Christmas. I asked for this, and it's been a moch-loved LP ever since.
Albums like this are always destined for greatness - they don't follow a particular style, but utilize many different styles of music to make up the album as a whole. This album does it. The White album does it. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness does it. That kind of range determines that your finished product will be awesome, if you have the chops.
There isn't a great deal that I can say about this album, which I haven't said on the pod. If you don't know it, try it. It's really great. I'll link the singles here:
