LP Lexicon Podcast 031: The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Episode: 031
iTunes

Artist: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Album: The Boatman's Call.

Show notes: When there is a band/artist with a huge back catalogue such as this, I always feel two things; elated, as I have a wealth of awesome to discover, and worried, as I know how much of a collector I am, and how I like to own everything.

Even the aforementioned b-sides and rarities comp, which I forgot I had, has turned up with some jewels. I've got to go back over it and see what I've been missing out.

Into My Arms.

(Are You) The One I've Been Waiting For?

Stranger Than Kindness.

Stranger Than Kindness isn't from The Boatman's Call, but I love it so much, I thought I'd like it here.

Greetz!

Artist: Jeff Wayne.

Album: Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of the Worlds.

Show notes: Absolutely honoured and thrilled to have Mike, Andy and Paul of the Attack of the 50ft Nerds podcast, a podcast which I hold dear to my heart, here at Lexicon Towers to discuss The War of the Worlds. Really glad Paul was here to fill me in on a myriad of Jeff Wayne facts which I never knew.

The War of the Worlds is not really known in the States, but it's a staple of your dads record collection here in the UK. For those not in the know, I'll provide you The Eve of the War:

The Eve of the War.

If you are so inclined, go dig out that ol' LP. It's well worth it.

Edit: Paul has provided us with this image of his War of the Worlds things found in the loft:
